Professional Standards Education
This all day workshop is designed for Grievance Committees, Professional Standards Committee and Boards of Directors of local and State Association of REALTORS®.

Professional Standards Administrator Training
Available to local board and state association staff, this six hour course meets the learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS® for the person designated for administrations of professional standards processes. NOTE: This course can also be combined with the Professional Standards Education Program (find out how)

Individual Professional Standards Courses also available:

  • Understanding the Role of the Grievance Committee:  3 or 4 hours
  • Understanding the Role of the Hearing Panel: 3 or 4 hours
  • Understanding the Role and Responsibilities of the Board of Directors:  3 or 4 hours

    This 3 or 4 hour ethics course is designed for the general membership and meets the National Association of REALTORS® training requirement.

Introduction to Mediation
This all day workshop covers an explanation of
mediation, the role of and obligations of mediators and helps participants understand the stages of
mediation through demonstration, role playing, and practical experience through case studies.

Introduction to Ombudsman
This four hour course covers an explanation of ombudsman procedures that effective January 1, 2016, the National Association of REALTORS® has required that associations offer as a service to provide enhanced communication and initial problem-solving capacity when complaints are received by the association. Ombudsman programs are a great way to assist in resolving disputes before they result in an ethics complaint.

Ethics Traffic Court—Developing a Citation Policy
This three hour course explains NAR’s Model Citation Policy, the decisions that REALTOR® Associations need to make when adopting a policy and trains members in the process through case studies and practical application.

Agency Relationships 101

This three hour course covers the history and background of agency laws, a review of New Jersey’s “Consumer Information Statement” Rule, N.J.A.C. 11:5-6.9 and it’s requirements. Through lecture, questions and answers and case studies, students come away with a great understand of the importance of the CIS Rule in their day to day real estate business.

This three house course explains the Board of REALTORS® arbitration procedures when there is a monetary dispute related to a real estate transaction, the factors that are considered by hearing panels when determining entitlement to commission and the benefits of working out the dispute through mediation.

This course is a summary course for licensees from other states that are seeking a NJ license and provides relevant and up to date information on the REC’s rules and regs with an overview of how the brokerage business operates in NJ.
The course is broken out into 4 categories to be offered as a CE Refresher course for current NJ licensees and can be offered in whole and in part.
